Alli Smith is a doctoral student in Clinical Psychology at the University of Kansas. Alli has also completed a graduate certificate in Women’s, Gender, & Sexuality studies at The University of Kansas. She is currently working with Dr. Charlene Muehlenhard on her Master’s Thesis, which examines sexual decision-making, ambivalence, and delay discounting. In 2016, Alli graduated magna cum laude from the University of the South with a BA in Psychology. Post-baccalaureate, Alli had the privilege of working with Dr. Sherry Hamby at the Life Paths Appalachian Research Center, where she worked on several projects investigating resilience and coping in rural Appalachia. Alli is interested in learning ways to incorporate multicultural humility and feminist praxis into her clinical and academic work. Outside of psychology, Alli enjoys barre classes, knitting, and trying new recipes.
