Katie Querna

Katie (she/her/hers) received her PhD in Social Welfare from the University of Washington (2018) and finished a postdoc at the University of Minnesota Medical School (2020).  She was an assistant professor in the Social Work Department at St. Cloud State University until spring 2024. Katie is an intersectional feminist gender researcher, using community engaged, creative approaches to ask “how do we collectively grow connected, compassionate, feminist boys and men?”  She has taught in public schools, higher education, and community settings for nearly 20 years and is a licensed, independent, clinical social worker (LICSW) in Minnesota.  Katie also teaches adaptive yoga, dance, and skiing and fosters senior dogs.
