Applications for Promising Scholars and Advocates
The deadline for Promising Scholar and Promising Advocate Scholarships is:

Scholarship winners are expected to attend the entire conference, April 12-14, 2026
People who wish to present should also submit their proposal through the conference submission portal.
Life Paths Promising Scholar Award: We are offering four scholarships to current students, post-baccalaureate fellows, and post-doctoral fellows that focus on under-served or marginalized communities.
Life Paths Promising Advocate Award: We will also be offering four scholarships for advocates who work in nonprofits/NGOs that serve oppressed, marginalized, and traumatized communities. We give preference to people in full-time advocacy, first responder, and practitioner positions.
Scholarship Details
Both the full Promising Scholar and Promising Advocate awards include conference registration and a $200 housing allowance for people who travel to Nashville from outside the area. We will pay full scholarship winners a $200 housing reimbursement after a submission of receipt from a hotel, AirBNB, or other housing is received.
A limited number of honorable mentions are also available (50% off registration).
Submitting a presentation or poster to ResilienceCon is a separate process. You should not wait to hear about submissions before applying for a scholarship.
Criteria for ResilienceCon 2026 Scholarships
Eligibility for Promising Scholar Awards is limited to current students (Undergraduate, Masters, and PhD students), post-baccalaureate fellows, and post-doctoral fellows whose work focuses on under-served or marginalized communities.
Eligibility for Promising Advocate Awards is as follows: Currently working at a non-profit organization serving people or communities who are underserved or have experienced violence, marginalization, or distress.
